I’m Heidi Christen, a Boston-based Marketing Technology Consultant with a background in media communications from Suffolk University. After taking a break to focus on my career, I returned to complete my degree program in 2020 during a significant period of personal transformation.
With over 20 years of experience across diverse industries—including financial services, information technology, legal, and media—I’m currently a consultant at Acxiom. My focus is on integrating cutting-edge technologies and Acxiom products to address clients’ marketing challenges. I excel at translating complex business issues into actionable strategies that align marketing technology solutions with user journeys.
Before joining Acxiom, I held several roles at Thomson Reuters, including VP of Planning and Operations for Business Communications, where I streamlined marketing processes and oversaw major communication strategies. I continued my journey at Refinitiv, joining the team that built a $28B brand and leading automation initiatives to optimize marketing workflows and enhance campaign effectiveness. My extensive experience in corporate communications, marketing promotions, planning, and operations positions me as a valuable asset for organizations seeking support with change management, customer and employee engagement, budget planning, and operational analysis and reporting.
In addition to my professional work, I’m starting a blog called “Raising Nana,” inspired by my experiences as a caregiver for my Nana. Through this platform, I share the lessons I’ve learned and offer practical tips for those facing similar situations. My goal is to help individuals prepare for the often-overlooked conversations with their parents, guiding them through the challenges of navigating health, legal matters, and finances. I aim to provide more support and understanding than I had during my own journey of becoming my parents’ parent—the good, the bad, and the sometimes funny.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family in Boston. I love travel adventures, exploring new places, and creating lasting memories with my loved ones.
